There’s a reason why POP Montreal is one of the best festivals in Montreal. They always tend to book artists before the world catches on to them, and highlights their talent for the city to see. Celebrating the event’s 25th anniversary, our schedules were busier than ever trying to fit as many sets in as we could.

Nardwuar The Human Serviette’s video vault

It’s been too long since Nardwuar’s last video vault in Montreal. Instead of hiding in the greenroom, the Canadian icon spent time before and after his show meeting whoever wanted to shake hands. Throughout his show, he played recorded moments from interviews and archives while reading off his handwritten notes to inspire us all.

Shunk

Shunk is the perfect band to see when you need to let loose. Their catchy riffs, quirky lyrics and occasional operatic vocals will find a way to reel you into a land of their own.
